Sometimes you have to kiss a few frogs to find a prince; it is only through bad experience do we learn how to be successful. It is all about taking risk, making the first step into uncharted territories.
Then again, the unthinkable could happen. Instead of turning the ugly frog into price charming, you might end as an ugly frog too, why not?
Sometimes it’s good to be nervous and cautious; it keeps us alert and aware of the surroundings. Like the old Chinese saying – patience and speed, an oxymoron but it does make good sense. Some food for thought:
- The human mind treats a new idea the way the body treats a strange protein; it rejects it. – Biologist P.B. Medawar, 1915-1985
- The intelligent man finds almost everything ridiculous, the sensible man hardly anything. – Johann Wolfgang Von Goethe, 1749-1832
- The difference between genius and stupidity is that genius has its limits. – Unknown
