Fate has ordained that there is coincidence, each man is the architect of his own fate. In the end of the day, we are partners by fate, friends by choice. When fate hands us a lemon, let’s try to make lemonade, the old saying goes.

p.s. The Chinese calligraphy reads ‘Fate’ in Mandarin.

Small Business Marketing And Development Strategy

Sometimes you have to kiss a few frogs to find a prince; it is only through bad experience do we learn how to be successful. It is all about taking risk, making the first step into uncharted territories.

Then again, the unthinkable could happen. Instead of turning the ugly frog into price charming, you might end as an ugly frog too, why not?

Sometimes it’s good to be nervous and cautious; it keeps us alert and aware of the surroundings. Like the old Chinese saying – patience and speed, an oxymoron but it does make good sense. Some food for thought:

  • The human mind treats a new idea the way the body treats a strange protein; it rejects it. – Biologist P.B. Medawar, 1915-1985
  • The intelligent man finds almost everything ridiculous, the sensible man hardly anything. – Johann Wolfgang Von Goethe, 1749-1832
  • The difference between genius and stupidity is that genius has its limits. – Unknown

Capitalism, or to be more precise, Western Influence has found its way into remote China. I highly doubt one could stumbled upon such an amazing piece of picture hanging on the wall of any hotel in Malaysia, let alone in most hotels in the western world.

Don’t get me wrong, the hotel I stayed is not a sex hotel, in fact, it was suppose to be the most expensive hotel in GuTian district. A simple ‘back to my grandfather’s village’ turned into an eye opening experience. What the f*** are they trying imply?

  • They are open minded
  • This is a sex hotel
  • Finally they are on par with Europeans and Americans
  • Free sex education?
  • This is a place where teenagers hang out and have sex because they don’t have privacy in their tiny house?

They say in China, money buys love – temporary love.
