The REAL Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas

Found this funny quote at IMMB by Jen:

I went to the store to get Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas. The salesgirl there didn’t know what it was, so I tried to explain. “It’s about a black guy who crashes his car, sleeps with prostitutes, and attacks people with a golf club.” The salesgirl came back with Tiger Woods PGA Tour 2010.

If you’re not sure what is Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas, here is a preview:

The salesgirl was right, ‘Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas‘ is ‘Tiger Woods PGA Tour 2010‘.

After watching Sir Ken Robinson’s presentation (entertaining, profoundly accurate and funny) on YouTube, am impressed with his ideas and deep thoughts, perhaps it is the way he articulated his ideas by showing examples and easy to understand metaphor. Without further ado, I bought one in Kinokuniya Bookstore in KLCC.

The element is the point at which natural talent meets personal passion. When people arrive at the element, they feel most themselves and most inspired and achieve at their highest levels. The Element draws on the stories of a wide range of people, from ex-Beatle Paul McCartney to Matt Groening, creator of The Simpsons; from Meg Ryan to Gillian Lynne, who choreographed the Broadway productions of Cats and The Phantom of the Opera; and from writer Arianna Huffington to renowned physicist Richard Feynman and others, including business leaders and athletes. It explores the components of this new paradigm: The diversity of intelligence, the power of imagination and creativity, and the importance of commitment to our own capabilities.

‘The Element – How Finding Your Passion Changes Everything’ is a must read book for those in the education line and parents alike, especially Asians with 18th century thinking. The book is a hymn to the breathtaking diversity of human talent and passion and our extraordinary potential for growth and development. Brain storming – Why do we group children according to their date of manufacture instead of their capabilities and abilities?

The book has less than 280 pages, and the non paperback version cost about RM57 (USD17). Dirty cheap! Go grab one now!

In life, all energy are borrowed, it is only a matter of time before the energy is returned to mother earth. We are all made out of sand and dust.
