Which is which? A sign for the blind person to see, or for his/her guide dog to read? Isn’t it ironic? That’s like putting up a no fishing sign in a desert. Perhaps the sign has a deeper meaning to it, maybe what they meant was – only guide dogs are allowed, no people or other dogs allowed!

on May 24th, 2009I assume that the Guide dogs sign is for the people not blind to see so they don’t say something/yell at a blind person with a dog. The blind person won’t see the no dogs sign so it doesn’t effect him.

on May 25th, 2009why would any stranger/customer yell or complain if a blind person decided to bring his/her dog into a shop? Most people understand their situation, I doubt the owner of the shop would complain too.
I read somewhere the purpose of displaying the sign is to show “we’re business friendly”, that’s all. Most shops allow guide dogs to enter, or they will be sued for discrimination.
